Featured Song: Deadcrow – Falling.
Wave has, for me, been the biggest epiphany of the past year: I was struggling to find something new within the electronic music landscape, but with wave, I’ve fallen in love. What started this romance was definitely wave 002, the second installment of wavemob’s signature album series, which in every chapter consistently packs in an unreal tracklist with the finest and biggest names in the game.
Now, the time has finally come for a new volume – one in which Skit, Sorsari, Klimeks, Foxwedding, nvrmre and more are all back providing once again a plethora of emotion-filled gems.
Deadcrow, with “Falling,” has arguably the best track of the bunch, also taking the title for the heaviest tune that I’ve ever ran into within the genre. The Dutch producer transforms the journey throughout the album from a dream to a nightmare with an outrageous bassline on this one, comparable to those of such bass scene mainstays as Rezz, which stretches out under a tapestry of synths and bells in the first drop, and a full-power storm of hard-hitting synths in the second one.
A cassette of the album is available for purchase here.
