Featured Song: Ryanjacob – VISA (ft. Indica, Floyd & joji).
Australian producer ryanjacob has formed a superteam on “VISA,” linking up with wavy rappers Floyd, Indica – all three artists having met through up-and-coming collective Keyworld – and master beatmaker joji for an unconventional but refreshing single.
In this collab, the stacked roster of artists have collectively managed to successfully bridge the gap between dark trap and dreamy electronica. The track opens to a super catchy hook from Indica overtop of a wavy synth chord progression, then transitions into a bass-heavy section which Floyd slaughters, before finishing out on an ethereal, experimental note, with reverberating guitar and ghostly vocals holding down a crackling finale.
In combining tough breakdowns and melodic interludes, the production on “VISA” incorporates classic elements from both ryanjacob and joji – and the result is an awesome track unlike quite anything else out there right now.
