Featured Song: Mr. Yote – Cloaked Capers (Prod. Slugabed).
Not much is known about Mr. Yote aside from his unique style of poetry rap, which is beautifully showcased in his recent effort “Cloaked Capers.” Teaming up with oddball producer Slugabed, both of their distinct talents come together on this song in an impressive way.
Mr. Yote spits in his signature tone on the track: deep, unconventional, and intriguing. His baritone vocal range bounces nicely over Slugabed’s brooding soundscape, one that warps, slaps, and whirls with perfect flow. This may well be the first of many collaborations between Slug and Yote, but regardless, we’re curious to see what these two have in store.
