Featured Song: verzache – hiccup.
Toronto-based artist verzache has made unbelievable progress in the past year, especially considering that his first ever taste of production came only at the tail end of 2014 – and he didn’t start taking things seriously until even later. Now, just over two years since he opened up GarageBand for the first time on his grandparents’ computer, verzache sits at nearly 16,000 followers, and has accumulated nearly 800,000 plays on his hugely successful debut EP, D97 – a testament to his talent and work ethic.
In the process, verzache has discovered his own style – one that combines both electronic and acoustic elements to form a beautiful, melodic soundscape which draws upon his musical background with guitar, bass, and drums. His latest, “hiccup,” takes after the tone set out on his second account, Zach Farache [his real name], in which his own singing and sampled instrumentation meets his clean electronic production.
Give this one a listen, and stay tuned for its imminent release to Spotify and all other major stores.
