Featured Song: Post Malone – Congratulations (Ramzoid Edit).
In a somewhat different track from the Canadian producer, PEI native Julien Lopes a.k.a. Ramzoid has flipped Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” turning the track into a deep, slick electro-meets-trap song. The result is a remix that borrows virtually nothing from the original other than its vocals, transforming it into a banger comprised of a hard-hitting beat that is perfectly accompanied by Post and Quavo’s pitched-up rapping.
The sparseness in this remix really allows the lush synths to come to the fore, and showcases the amazing but understated drum work, both of which being core elements of Ramzoid’s signature style.
Ramzoid’s versatile production skills have long been evident, and his musical evolution seems constant. One thing is certain – no matter his style, he manages to kill it everytime; he’s always on the leading edge when it comes to innovation, keeping things futuristic and wonderfully melodic. And he’s just getting started.
